Presentation The conference Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA), Days of Applied Microeconomics, takes place every year in a different University in France, in a French-speaking country or in a border country. It brings together academics and researchers, seniors, juniors, or Ph-D students, whose research contributes to the literature in applied microeconomics. The 36th edition will be held in Casablanca (Morocco),at the Faculté des Sciences Juridiques, Economiques et Sociales Aïn Chock (FSJES-AC) on Thursday 6th June and Friday 7th June 2017. It is organized by LASAARE (Laboratoire de Statistique Appliquée à l'Analyse et la Recherche en Economie, Laboratory of Statistics Applied to Economic Analysis and Research) and the research team in Econometrics Applied to Micro and Macroeconomic Behaviours Models from FSJES-AC, University of Hassan II Casablanca. Keynote speech The keynote speech will be given by : Claude Montmarquette Professor of Economics, Université de Montréal Claude Montmarquette has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago, and is emeritus professor in the Department of Economics at the Université de Montréal and fellow CIRANO. He is well known as a specialist in public choice economics, education and labor econometrics. He is an elected member from the Canadian Royal Society and membre of Order of Canada. In 2013, he received a PhD in Law honoris causa form McGill University. In 2016, he became Commander of the Royal Order. More information : Personal page of Claude Montmarquette
Job market Ph.D. candidates and post-doctoral researchers will have the opportunity to participate in the Job Market organized during the conference. The placement service will facilitate job seekers to introduce themselves to future employers. To this end, Research Centers will communicate their contact in the program.
Special issue to be published in revue économique The Revue Economique will devote a special issue for this conference in september 2020.
